Srikar Gullapalli Named Watson Fellow
Three Indian American students— Shilpa Darivemula of Union College in Schenectady, New York; Srikar Gullapalli of Colgate University, Hamilton, New York; and Nitya Rao of Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina — were named last month as Watson Fellows, each of whom will receive a stipend of $25,000 for the fellowship year.

Saketh Myneni quelled the challenge from local lad Vijayant Malik 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 in the final of the Raheja $15,000 ITF men’s Futures tennis tournament on Saturday.It was the fifth title in the Futures circuit for Myneni, and he said that he was looking forward to improving his game and play the Challengers soon. Ram Kolli wins 16th annual USA Memory Championship
Last weekend in New York City, Ram Kolli defeated the reigning USA Memory Championship Nelson Dellis to win the 16th annual USA Memory Championship. Readers of my book Moonwalking with Einstein: The Art and Science of Remembering Everything will remember Kolli as the “mental athlete” I went toe-to-toe with when I won that same contest in 2006.
